Privacy at The Nest

What The Nest is

The Nest is a space for high support children and their caregivers, therapists, and parents. Bookings are for a capacity-limited room. Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, closed weekends. Children must be accompanied by a caregiver- we do not currently offer daycare services.

What this site stores

• Account email. The password is stored only in hashed form.
• Child records: an internal id linked to the guardian account and a default flag. No name is required.
• Holds and bookings: account, child id, times, number of children, status, and payment session id.
• Wait-list entries: the same fields.
• Staff email addresses recorded with capacity-rule and closed-time changes.
• Staff email audit: recipients, subject, and counts. The message body is not stored.
• Payment event and refund records: payment ids and hold id. No card data or email.

The payment processor receives the hold id and the account email. Card data stays with the processor.

Registering interest

The Nest collects, from a parent or guardian: parent name, email, optional phone, number of children (1, 2, 3, 4, or 5+), therapy types (ABA, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Other), any short note you add if you pick Other, and a required consent acknowledgement. It also stores a salted SHA-256 hash of the IP address and a truncated browser string, used only to limit abuse. The raw IP is not stored. No child names are collected.

We'll use this information only to email you (or call/text if you give a phone number) when spaces at The Nest open, and for no other purpose. It is not shared with ads or analytics, and this form does not emit conversion events. To ask for deletion, contact The Nest. Contact: [contact method to be provided]

Emails sent

• Wait-list notices. These do not include a child name or slot details.
• Emergency notices: ids, dates, and reason.
• Messages staff type to account emails.

Logs

Logs include errors plus payment and hold ids.

Not collected

This site does not collect child names, a date of birth, a provider or organization name, or card data.

Cookies and consent

A first-visit banner asks you to choose. You can change that later from Cookie settings in the footer.

• Essential. Sign-in and booking holds use session cookies so your account and reserved slot keep working. These stay on if you choose Reject analytics.
• Analytics (optional). Measurement and advertising tags stay off until you choose Accept analytics. Reject analytics leaves them off. Consent defaults stay denied until you accept.
